The Most Listening Radio Channels Research Report

The most listened radio channels of Azerbaijan have been revealed. The survey, conducted among Azerbaijani drivers, researched which radio channels they listen to the most in the country. The results of the research were analyzed separately for Baku city and regions. Business Insight conducted the next research of 555 car drivers in May (06.05.20-22.05.20) under the tle “Most listened radio channels”. The survey was made by phone to get the results more quickly.

Some result examples from research.
- According to the survey, 7 out of 10 car owners listen to the radio (70%). The TOP 5 most listened radio channels are “106.3 FM”, “90 FM”, “107.7 FM”, “105.5 FM” and “106 FM”, respectively.
- According to the ranking of drivers in the region, Radio “İcmai”(90 FM) and Radio “Azad Azərbaycan”(106.3 FM) share the first and second places as the most listened radio.
- Baku car owners listen to Radio “Azad Azərbaycan” (106.3 FM).
- According to the survey, one in three people does not listen to the radio (30%). The majority of this segment is young people (18-40 years old). Thus, 68.3% of the 164 respondents who said they did not listen to the radio were young drivers under the age of 40, and the remaining 31.7% were drivers in the age group of 40 and over.
- Young people (under 40) listen to 105.5 FM more than other radio channels. Thus, 39 respondents under the age of 40 (18%) said they listened to 105.5 FM, 38 (17.5%) 106.3 FM, and 34 (15.7%) 107.7 FM. Among the drivers over 40 who took part in the survey, 106.3 FM (23 resp.-13.5%), 90 FM (23 resp.- 13.5%) and 106 FM (20 resp.-11.8%) were recorded as the most listened TOP 3 radio channels.
- The research found that new car owners listen to the radio less than old car owners. The analysis shows that 73.3% of the 164 respondents who said they did not listen to the radio were new car owners with 2010 and above, and the remaining 26.7% were old car owners with previous year of manufacture.doldurun.
